joyboy.club · a small app run by one person
Write to hello@joyboy.club. Every message reaches a human, usually within a day or two. Tell me what you were doing and what happened; if a world misbehaved, its name helps.
Signing in
- Playing needs no account. Signing in is only for creating worlds, keeping a shelf and planting flags.
- Sign in with Apple, or with an email address — we send a six-digit code, valid for ten minutes. No password to remember. Registration and sign-in are the same step: the first code creates the account.
- No code? Check spam, then ask for another. Codes are limited to a few per hour per address.
- Can't read the picture code? Tap the picture for another one.
Creating a world
- One sentence in, one playable world out. It usually takes fifteen to forty minutes. You can wander off or close the app — the console keeps building, and the world is on your shelf when you come back.
- Say the activity plainly ("a fishing game…", "flying a kite…"). The console checks that the design is your sentence before it writes any code, and again after the game is tested. A world that drifts from your sentence is not kept and not charged.
- Every new account gets one world free. After that a world costs one credit — and a rough one gives its credit back.
- If a world cannot be polished to our bar it arrives as a rough cut, stays off the universe, and the credit goes back to your balance.
Managing your worlds
Me → the world → Manage:
- Private / In the universe — send it out (a person looks at it, then it goes live) or pull it back to private, at any time.
- Revise — one sentence about what should change. The same world is polished to your note, tested again, and replaced in place. A revised world goes back to private.
- Create again — the same sentence, built fresh, as a new world beside the old one.
- Delete — removes the world, its flags and reports; a live world leaves the universe.
World creation credits
- Playing every world is free, forever, with no account. Your first world is free too.
- After that a world costs one credit. Packs are one-time purchases through Apple: 3 for $0.99, 10 for $1.99, 30 for $4.99. Prices outside the United States are set by Apple in your own currency. Nothing renews; nothing expires.
- A rough cut costs you nothing. If a world fails, or lands below our bar, the credit goes straight back to your balance. Check the balance in Me → World creation credits.
- Revising a world never costs a credit.
- Credits are held against your account, so they survive reinstalling the app — there is nothing to restore after a reinstall; sign in and the balance is there. If you paid for a pack and the balance did not move, tap Paid but no credits? Tap to check under the balance: it asks the App Store for the receipt and delivers the pack.
- The memberships sold before 11 September 2026 have been retired. If one still shows in Settings › your name › Subscriptions, cancel it there; refunds go through Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com).
Something wrong with a world
Every member-made world has Report this world on its play screen. Reports are read by a person; three open reports pull a public world back into review. The report sheet also lets you block the maker, which hides all of their worlds from your universe.
Deleting your account
Me → Account → Delete my account. It removes your email, sessions, private worlds, flags, blocks and unspent credits immediately.
